It would be greatly appreciated if, prior to making changes or updating sections within the Compass app, schools could be given the opportunity to provide feedback and advise whether they would like the proposed update. The change that has been made seems unnecessary, and I don’t feel it has improved the resource booking process. If anything, I feel the new version is less user-friendly and not as effective as the previous format. I would appreciate it if future changes could involve consultation with schools before they are implemented.

If a space/room is marked 'not available' to staff, to stop them from being able to room swap into this space, the manager should be able to override this and book the room manually for people. This was the way we have always done this, until the upgrade, now the Manager cannot see the room to book it either

Would like the ability to link a 'Resource Booking' to a classroom. eg HomeEco contains a classroom. Year12 would like to book the HomeEco to make cupcakes but we dont want them to be able to book the room when it is already allocated class. Similary Daily org needs to be able to see if the space is available for room swaps etc

The original layout was better being able to select a time for a resource based on a list of available resources and when it was booked; this allowed an at-a-glance view of everything, especially my own bookings for the day. Then simply pressing the sideways arrow to navigate to the next day etc was extremely handy. Having all that gone and now having the screen pop up to be half the size to input data is terrible. Also, when I change the date of the booking, the "end date" doesn't change automatically, causing an error when I try to submit, losing all changes and forcing a start over. EDIT: I now realise there is a calendar view but it is not default and the graphics are way overblown/large, limiting the ability to see everything at a glance.

We would like to have the ability for some of our bookable school resources to appear on certain room schedules. For example, we have three bookable teaching spaces that teachers can take classes to, which they can book through resource booking, however these bookings then appear separately to the actual room schedule.

Staff unable to book in teaching period increments. Staff don't need to book in 15 minute increments, they prefer using teaching period time slots. Please add this feature back.

With the new look resource booking format (which does not look that great compared to the previous version) if we look at a single resource, it still shows just one day, like it does when you look at multiple resources. In the old version, if you looked at a specific resource, you could see the whole week, allowing for ease of booking multiple days, or quickly viewing how full it is without having to click through each day individually.

It would be of terrific use if resource bookings enabled a cap on time period in advance. We would like to be able to limit staff booking in-demand resources more than 2 weeks in advance. At the moment, I would need to manually search ahead and remove bookings.

We’d like an audit log within Resource Bookings to track all changes made to bookings. Currently, when a booking is deleted, there’s no visibility of who removed it or when, which makes troubleshooting difficult. Requested functionality: Log when a booking is created, edited, or deleted Show user name, timestamp, and action taken Optional: show previous vs new values for edits Ability to filter/search by resource, date, or user Accessible to users with appropriate permissions (e.g. BookingsAdmin) Use case: Helps schools investigate missing bookings, resolve conflicts, and maintain accountability.
