When staff use "Email Parents" under Contacts, the screen doesn't indicate whether any listed parent/guardian has a Contact Restriction. Staff must already know about a restriction, or check the student's profile separately, before they can be confident an email won't reach someone it shouldn't. Contact Restrictions are often used for custody or family violence situations, so this is a child safety and duty-of-care risk, not just an inconvenience. Requested change Clearly flag on the Email Parents screen when a listed contact has a restriction. For example, a warning banner when any recipient is restricted, and/or an icon next to that specific contact's name in the recipient list. Why this matters Contact restrictions aren't always cut and dry, and contact settings don't always 100% match the situation. Contact Restrictions only work as a safeguard if every part of Compass that emails or displays contacts visibly respects them. Relying on staff memory or a manual check per email isn't reliable across a large staff body. A clear indicator on this screen would help close that gap.
