Reward System - Easy Allocation of School Values with Store

I would like to suggest the development of a positive behaviour rewards module within Compass, similar to PBIS Rewards by Navigate360.
Many Western Australian schools implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and work towards recognising at least five positive behaviours for every negative behaviour. Schools need an efficient and accessible system that supports staff to record this recognition consistently without relying on a separate platform.
Ideally, the module would be embedded directly into the Compass homepage, allowing staff to quickly recognise students and award points for demonstrating their school’s values or expected behaviours. Having this feature within Compass would reduce the need for schools to use a separate platform or use chronicle entries and make positive behaviour recognition more accessible and consistent.
Suggested features could include:
.customisable school values, behaviours and point categories
.quick awarding of points from the Compass homepage or staff app
.individual, class, House and year-group recognition
.configurable staff permissions and daily point limits
.an integrated rewards shop where students can redeem their points
.stock quantities, purchase approvals and collection tracking
.student point balances and transaction histories
.dashboards and reports to monitor participation and behaviour trends - could be linked into Pulse
.school-wide and targeted reward campaigns
.integration with existing Compass student profiles, Houses, classes and reporting tools
.parent access to view their child’s points, achievements and positive behaviour recognition
.visual House point tracking through leaderboards, progress bars, House colours and .other engaging graphics
.the option for families to receive notifications when their child earns points, reaches a milestone or receives an award.
This would help families celebrate positive behaviour, encourage student participation and strengthen their connection with the school’s values and House system.
A module like this would give schools a complete positive behaviour recognition system within the platform they already use each day. It would simplify administration, increase staff and family engagement, and provide valuable data about student participation and positive behaviour across the school.

This sounds like an interesting idea, and I can certainly see the potential benefits. My concern would be how consistently it would be used across a school.
Would staff see it as a useful and easy way to provide positive recognition, or could it become another task they feel expected to complete? There is also the possibility of significant differences in how frequently individual staff use the feature, which could result in some students receiving considerably more recognition than others.
This may not necessarily reflect differences in student behaviour, but simply differences in staff practice, interpretation or use of the system. If points are then linked to rewards, House competitions or visible leaderboards, those inconsistencies could become more significant.
I don’t think this makes it a bad idea at all, but I think any such feature would need to include safeguards and reporting that help schools monitor consistency and fairness without creating an additional administrative burden for staff or leadership.
