some teachers accidentally mark future rolls. ability to unmark it or prevent that from happenig in the first place would be great

there is a BIG red warning banner indicating the roll is for a future session, it baffles me that so many teachers simply ignore this. You can reset the roll to unmarked by changing the roll marking mode for the session - this can only be done by those with appropriate permissions to do so, and should be used with caution.

This item has been added to our roadmap and we will build the ability for a user to unmarked any future rolls. If the roll has passed, it will stop the user unmarking the roll.

I'm in agreeance as long as the reset can only be actioned for future rolls

Yes! So many times I've seen staff mark future sessions/classes by accident. You should also not be able to mark future rolls only current or previous rolls

The ability to reset a roll saved in error would be fantastic and widely supported. Could you add extra features to prevent saving these rolls in the first place? Currently a future session displays a warning, but teachers scan past this message due to seeing the same coloured warning on every roll which says "this Roll has not been marked". If the roll they have opened is for a day in the future, could whole roll be made a different colour to a normal roll? Could you add an additional final verification step after teachers click save on a future roll?

Gavin Walters This is a fantastic idea, building on this; could the colors/styles of the warnings be different depending on the warning? as Gavin has stated the Future Roll and Has Not Been Marked are identical and can be easily missed.

Gavin Walters I that staff shouldn't be able to mark future rolls at all. Like a pop up saying 'this roll is for a future session, you cannot mark this roll at this current time'.

Megan BARTON Agreed. That would be even better, or if some schools allow future rolls to be marked for some reason, perhaps add it as a setting. Allow marking of future rolls (Enabled / Disabled).
