Recurring Contributions - add an 'email parent' function

It would be helpful to email parents from the Recurring Contributions section, so that a reminder for an upcoming instalment can be targeted only to parents who have signed up for a plan or emails sent to a parent with instruction on how to update card details.

Is there a feature to have email reminders sent to parents on payment plans? A lot of failed payments are occurring and I feel if parents were reminded of their upcoming debit, that perhaps it would lessen the issue? I'm at a school with over 2,000 families and over 3,000 students. It's almost a full time job chasing failed payments due to insufficient funds or expired cards.
